Development of an array of fourteen HPGe detectors having 70% relative efficiency each

Searches for new physics push experiments to look increasingly rare interactions. As a result, detectors require increasing sensitivity and specificity, materials must be screened naturally occurring, background-producing radioactivity. Furthermore, the used screening approach sensitivities of physics-search themselves, thus motivating iterative development capable both searches background screening. We report on design, installation, performance novel, low-background, fourteen-element high-purity germanium detector named CAGe (CUP Array Germanium), installed at Yangyang underground laboratory in Korea.
